10. Parking Garages

10.0 Parking & Transit operates three parking garages on campus, restricted 24 hours all year:

The Allen Fieldhouse Garage is located north of Allen Fieldhouse at Naismith Drive & Irving Hill Road, with one entrance on Irving Hill Road.

The Mississippi Street Garage is located north of the Kansas Union at 13th & Oread, with two entrances on Oread Avenue and Mississippi Street.

The Central District Garage is located north of Hilltop Childcare Center with one entrance on Ousdahl Road north of 18th Street.

10.1 Toll. Hourly charge for parking in the garages is garages is $1.75 for the first hour, and $1.50 per each additional hour, or any portion thereof. Non-payment will result in issuance of fines (see section 12.6).

Payments may be made with cash, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover at the pay station in the elevator tower. License plate number is required to pay for parking.

10.2 Faculty, staff and students are eligible to purchase permits for any of the three (3) garages. Permits valid in one garage only, not all of them (see section 5.6). Allen Fieldhouse Garage student permits are limited to graduate students.

10.3 Any person with a valid KU permit may purchase a garage evening/weekend permit honored in any garage from 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. Monday-Friday and 24 hours on weekends, except during posted event restriction.

10.4 Vehicles parked in a garage without a permit or payment at the pay station will be assessed a ticket (see sections 12.5 and 12.7).

Visitors should park in parking garages or at meters
Red, Blue, and Gold zones are ticketed Monday through Friday year-round
To use ADA parking, you must register your placard with Parking & Transit and buy a parking permit
In residence hall zones, we patrol continuously and issue tickets day and night starting at 7 a.m. Monday and ending at 5 p.m. Friday when classes are in session
48 hours before closing lots for events, we'll post a real estate sign with the date and time at the entrance
Walking time from lot 57 (Stadium) to Wescoe: 6.5 minutes
Walking time from lot 90 (Recreation Center) to Wescoe: 8.5 minutes
Going to Watkins Health Center? Park at the meters, pay for 1 hour 
Using a yellow permit costs $1.93/day. Park & Ride is $1.41.
