Faculty & Staff Parking

Red, Blue and Gold zones are the primary faculty and staff parking on the KU Lawrence campus. Employees may also choose a Yellow permit, or may be eligible for a parking garage permit.

Any benefits-eligible employee of the university may purchase a parking permit, depending on eligibility requirements. Permits can be purchased online. More information about permit options and eligibility can be found on the Faculty/Staff Permits page. Employees may choose either to pay for permits outright or via payroll deduction.

Graduate assistants (GTAs and GRAs) do not meet the requirements for employee parking permits.

Retirees

Retirees are eligible to choose between two kinds of parking permits. They may purchase a retiree permit, valid in any color zone, for $100, or obtain a permit for lots 301 and 302 only (which are serviced regularly by the Route 41 bus connecting to main campus) for free.
