Orientation Parking

A photo of the machines at the gate exits of the parking garage.

Students and parents coming to campus for Orientation park in the Mississippi St. parking garage, located just north or the Kansas Memorial Union. The garage can be accessed either from Mississippi Street (lower level) or Oread Avenue (upper level).

To enter the garage, orientation visitors should press the large green button to receive a printed ticket; the ticket will be needed to exit the garage and should be kept away from magnets or cell phones.

Visitors should receive a QR code voucher from Orientation staff that will allow a free exit. To leave the garage, drive to any exit lane, insert the ticket that was pulled at the entrance, then scan the QR code using the sensor located beneath the silver keypad to the left of the gate box (circled in the image).

For assistance at any time, press the intercom button in the upper right corner of the gate box.
