Employee Permits Now Available
Faculty/staff parking permits for the 2022-2023 academic year are now available for purchase via payroll deduction online in the KU Parking portal. Permits may be purchased with a credit card after July 1, 2022.
Payroll Deduction
No permits will be automatically renewed on payroll deduction for 2022-2023. If you paid for a permit via payroll deduction in 2021-22, it will expire on 7/31/2022, with deductions ending 8/19/2022. If you want a permit for the 2022-2023 academic year, you will need to actively select a permit option and choose payroll deduction during the process. If you want to pay by credit card for an annual or semester permit, you can start doing so after July 1, 2022 with the new fiscal year. This includes permits for Retirees. Visit the Payroll Deduction page for more information.
Permit Information
Please visit the Faculty/Staff Permits page for eligibility and cost information. Purchasing a permit for someone other than yourself (co-worker, student, etc.) will result in the revocation of your parking privileges and you will not receive a refund for any payment.
Shorter-Term Options
In case you are not yet sure of your fall schedule, we are continuing to offer short-term options that will allow you to periodically park on campus, as needed. Any of these permits that you currently have must be used by July 31, 2022.
Short-term options are:
- 30-use and 15-use permits
- Daily permits
If you’re not sure what type of permit you’ll need to start, we recommend purchasing a daily permit as needed. Limited use permits (15- and 30-use permits) for 22-23 will be available starting August 1. Limited use permits for 21-22 are still available online and valid through July 31, 2022.
You can start the year with a short-term permit or multiple short-term permits, and enroll in payroll deduction later, if needed. Be sure to use all days of your short-term permit before enrolling in payroll deduction. Annual permits can be purchased at any time and will begin prorating weekly in September. Although there is no deadline to sign up for payroll deduction, it is not available after May 12, 2023.
"Buy Up a Level"
Faculty and Staff will be allowed to purchase up a level this year on a first-come, first-served basis.
