New Yellow and Red Parking Lots and Other Changes

Two new parking lots were constructed over the summer and are now open. The new Yellow Lot 89 east of Downs residence hall at the corner of 18th and Naismith has 173 spaces available for student parking. 

A new addition to Red Lot 34 next to Price Computing Center on Sunnyside Ave. has 209 spaces for faculty and staff parking. In addition, all spaces in Lot 117 east of Watkins Memorial Health Center have been changed to Blue permit parking. 

Additional color zone changes include the following:

• Lot 34 south of Price Computing Center — Changed 29 Red stalls to Yellow and 10 red stalls to Blue.
• Lot 62 east of Price Computing Center — Changed 55 Red stalls to Yellow and combined with Lot 61. The combined lot is now entirely Yellow.
• Lot 101 east of Templin — Changed 19 Red stalls to Green.
• Lot 111 adjacent to GSP/Corbin — More than 20 Green stalls have been added.

Parking Lot Closures

As a reminder, Lot 94 and Lot 92 east of David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium are permanently closed to accommodate stadium renovations and Gateway District construction. Students with Yellow permits can use Lot 89 at 18th and Naismith and Lot 61 at Sunnyside Ave. and Illinois St.

Park & Ride Option

Park & Ride will operate at Lot 302, located in the southwest corner of Innovation Park on West Campus. Students using Park & Ride can ride the Route 41 campus circulator bus to campus.
