Summer 2026 Parking Restrictions

In preparation for the World Cup, this summer KU will require a valid parking permit in all Lawrence campus lots and will not allow overnight parking.

Beginning June 1, a valid KU parking permit will be required for those using green lots. Accommodations will be made for summer camp participants and their families.

UPDATED: From June 11 to July 13, sections A-D in lot 300 will be available for public parking for a fee of $10 per vehicle via the HONK app. On the remaining Kansas City Game days (June 20, 25, 27 and July 3, 11), the bus from the Lied Center parking to Central Station will run for 90 minutes, with return trips for a 2-hour window, listed in the table below.

When there is no match in Kansas City, fan parking at the Lied Center will still be available. Central Station is an approximately quarter-mile walk from the parking lot.

Parking will continue to be available in lots 300 and 302 for those with gold, blue, red and yellow parking permits. Those with valid permits will not need to pay an additional fee to use these lots during this time.

Bus times to Central Station from parking lot 300.
