Ticket Forgiveness Quiz

At the request of Student Senate, we developed a quiz over general Parking Rules & Regulations for students to take as a way to educate themselves about commonly misunderstood Parking policies.  Students who receive their first-ever KU Parking Ticket may be able to have the ticket canceled in exchange for successfully completing the quiz, if they do so within 10 business days of the ticket’s issuance and if the ticket is for a minor violation such as No Valid Permit, Restricted Area, or Wrong Zone. (Tickets for violations such as Nondesignated Parking, Blocking, Fire Lane, Illegally parked in or blocking ADA Stall, etc. will not be eligible for cancelation via completion of the quiz).

We envision the quiz opportunity as part of our existing appeals process.  Students deemed ineligible for cancelation via successful quiz completion will still have the opportunity to appeal any ticket, as has always been the case.

The information that students who take the quiz will need to know is available on our website, primarily in the Rules & Regulations section.

Quiz Now Available

If you are a new student, faculty, or staff at KU, and if this is the first time you've gotten a parking ticket (and it is a Group 1 violation – see Section 10 of the Parking Regulations), you might be able to have your first-time ticket canceled.

If you think you are eligible, take this 23-question parking quiz (within the same 10-business day deadline as an appeal) , then we'll verify your eligibility and notify you if we were able to cancel the ticket.  You will need to log in with your KU Online ID in order to start the quiz.
